Yes, I'm still Alive.

Hey! Don't worry, I'm still alive! The zombie invasion isn't till next year!
It's been a long, long, long....Long, while. Feel free to call me names: Slacker, loser, or my personal favorite, 'Girl who never posts on her blog'.
I really must apologize, I haven't posted anything in months. But, I have an excellent excuse!
I've been busy! No really, I have. I didn't have a lot of free time to do stuff like this. Also, I had no camera. I'm going to tell you a story and I hope you like it.

You see, two Christmas' ago, I received a camera. This camera to be exact:
Yes, and I loved that camera. I took lots of pictures with it! But this camera came with a cord, it connected the camera to the computer. I had only one cord to keep track of, but guess what I did? I lost it... Later that year I found it, only to lose it again. Which brings us to the beginning of 2011. I hadn't started this blog yet, so I just used my Mother's camera for whatever pictures I needed taken. Not remembering how great it was to have your own camera to use. So I didn't worry about that cord until I started this blog. I would need a camera to take pictures for the tutorials and my mother would have brought the camera to work.
That was when I started to ask for a new cord...
Many months of waiting, painting, and asking, I got one for Christmas!
So, here we are! I have a cord(thanks to my grandmother!) and I'm ready to start the New Year with tutorials!

I received some nail stuff for Christmas that I want to share with you all!

I got one of these train cases I think they are called. Very handy, I organized all my stuff and I'm wondering how long it will stay that way....

I got three new polishes!
from left to right: Frostbite, Skull & Glossbones, and Sun Worshiper. The picture doesn't show how bright the orange is, but It's really pretty.

I got these nail pens which are super cool! It's a pen when you pull the cap off but if you unscrew the top its got a brush!

This is the pen part. It's got a really small tip so you can make intricate designs!

These are nail markers, I really like these. Very pigmented, you only need two coats. Plus I can practice french tips, which I'm not to good at.. YET!

Here is this cute little nail file I got! See, it's got little kisses on it!

I got these. I've been wanting to try them for a while and now I can! Yay!

Then last but not least, I got this guy. He's pretty cute huh?

I must apologize again for not posting in months!
Thank you for reading my blog!
***Happy New Year!***

muahahaha! More for me!!

As strange as this sounds, I got more nail polish! It was very generously given to me by one of the lovely women that visits my grandmother's quilt shop. Thank you Mrs. Linda! I assume you want to see them now so......

These first three are Crackle paints by China Glaze.
This one is: Latticed Lilac
 Haute Metal
 Cracked Medallion.
Then I got two colors from Finger Paints..
 Go Van Gogh!
Cerulean Seascape
And last but not least, a Tough Coat top coat. I really needed one of these!

Here are the three crackle paints
Cracked Medallion on top of the Cerulean Seascape
 Latticed Lilac
Haute Metal

Again, thank you to Mrs. Linda for being so generous and contributing to my collection.

Thank you all for reading!

My Crackle obsession and polish colection

So, these are my moms' nails using Essie in Strawberry Shortcake and Sally Hansen Crackle in Snow Blast!

I have yet to try the pink, but I did use the White Crackle! This stuff is truly awesome!

Also, I started reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett. So far I really like it =)

Well now that you've seen that I obviously have an addiction to this nail polish, lets move on to my colection!

Firstly, there are five things that I always have on hand: Nail Polish Remover, Nail Files, (a.k.a sanding sticks) Nail clippers, Dotting tools, and of course, an exeedingly large ammount of used cotton balls.... don't know why I keep those...

Moving on to the nail polish. I counted today and found that I have exactly 40 count em' 40 different nail polishes. One of my goals is to have at least 1 of every brand! Also to get the 'Glow in the dark' nail polish from China Glaze!! I have been waiting to get glow in the dark nail polish for too long, so I am SUPER PSYCHED!

Of all 40 of my polishes, these 8 are my favorites
(from left to right) Milani NEON: Totally 80's, Cover Girl Nail Slicks: Twilight Mauve and Peaches & Cream, Sinful Colors: Teal-riffic, (this one didn't come with a name, so I made one up) China Glaze: Liquid Leather, Sally Hansen: Divine Wine, Sun Kissed, and Blue Me Away.

Here I have some other odds and ends. Such as....
Four nail art pens, two of which are exactly the same color, Two foundation sponges, Nail stickers and sparkley things, False nails to try *this* tutorial when I get around to it, and, yes that stuff in the corner is real snake skin for a future tutorial. Yeah, I have a pet snake... I didn't take a picture so I can't show you... Sorry.

Well, I'm all out of pictures, so I guess thats it!
Please leave me a comment and tell me your opinion! I would love to know if anyone enjoys listening to blather on and on about nail polish.
Thank you so much for reading!

Blue!

I know, I know, its been over a month. I'm sorry =(
Go ahead and say it.... I'm a super-duper-slacker.

But, I'm back now, and very excited! I did a very blue nail design that I really like!

Soooo, your going to need:
A blue nail polish (Breezy) and a white nail polish with a thin brush (white canvas).

Step 1: is easy enough, paint all of your nails blue!
(or any other color you want. I just felt like blue =D)

My cat is always so helpful....

Okay, now that we're done looking at my really, really, large cat, it's time for Step 2!

Using the white and tiny brush, paint three small lines like this!

Final step!
Using the white again, paint little curves on top of the lines so that it looks something like this....

Yay! Done!
Do you like my ring? I love it :D

Thank you so much for reading my blog!!

Yes.. I keep my nail polish in a shoe box...

Step 1. Using the blue polish, paint your left thumb nail and right pinky nail. They should look like this....

Step 2. Using the red, paint the rest of your nails.
Step 3. Using the White and a precision brush, paint stripes on the red..

Step 4! Using the white and precision brush again, paint little dots on the blue...

Done! Yay!

Is it Halloween yet?!

If there is anything I hate more than messing up or breaking my nails, it's mosquitoes. I absolutely lothe, despise, and hate mosquitoes; and if one bites me, I HAVE to itch it. So I'm going to show you  pictures of what happens when you itch too much...

...You get bloody nails...

I'm totally kidding, It's nail polish!
I love painting my nails like this, I do it all the time. It's a little strange because its not Halloween but, I think it looks awesome.

I actually didn't come up with this, but here's the link to see how, riiiiiight *here*

Thank you for reading!
